Preventative Dentistry
Dental disease is largely preventable. There are many things you can do at home to minimize your risk of disease including brushing and flossing your teeth. In addition to establishing positive habits at home it is important to visit your dentist regularly for an examination, even if you are not in pain. Dental disease does not show symptoms in its early stages. Through regular dental examinations your dentist can monitor the health of your mouth, diagnose disease early and work with you to stop disease from advancing. You should have an examination at least once a year, even if you wear dentures.
